Summary

We are seeking a detail oriented procurement officer who will ensure cost effective procurement of high quality materials, evaluate supplier and follow procurement procedures.

Responsibilities

Effective Management

- Ensures all purchases go through the approved procurement procedures.

- Suggest alternative standardized materials that can save the organization money.

- Identify new potential suppliers and develop relationships.

- Developing/reviewing procurement processes to meet organizational developmental needs.

- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.

- Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts

- Assess, manage and mitigate risks

- Raising of LPO through QuickBooks and transmitting same to suppliers

Training and Development

- Train/recommend training for procurement team on modern innovation in procurement activities.

Relationship Management

- Vendor/Suppliers Management

- Vendor Registration/Audit

Status Reporting

- Preparation of weekly and monthly procurement report and transmitting same to the finance manager.

Monitoring

- Monitor supply markets and trends i.e. material price increases, shortages, changes in supply and interpret the impact these trends will have on the organization

Requirements

 B.Sc or HND in Business Management or any other related course

 Five (5) years’ experience in procurement activities

Membership Certification with CIPS or NISCM

Advanced Food Safety Certificate
