Summary

Manage all activities of the store.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label).
• Loading and offloading of materials to and from vehicles.
• Utilize store space efficiently by properly arranging items and materials in line with safety standard to prevent injuries while performing heavy lifting.
• Sweep and clean floors as needed and make sure all items are properly stored.
• Inspect deliveries for damaged or discrepancies and report same to supervisor.
• Maintain record of incoming and outgoing materials.
• Arrangement and marking of store items in an easy to locate manner.
• Periodic inspection of store items and products for any breakage or damages.
• Handle safely all materials in the store.
• Provide assistance to the supervisor in his daily tasks.
• Preparation of material request for review and approval by supervisor as required.
• Daily submission of inventory report for review.
• Accurate record keeping of transfer records.

Requirements

• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
• Proven experience as a store assistant.
• Must be able to carry items between 30-50kg
• Prioritization and time management skills.
• Must be ready to work additional hours when required.
• Knowledge of English Language.
• Good communication skills (oral & writing).
