Summary
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability across CAP Plc plants and outstations. This role involves analyzing equipment data to improve maintenance strategies, coordinating activities with production to minimize downtime, and ensuring all maintenance operations align with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The incumbent will manage maintenance records and master schedules using SAP S4 Hana, support preventive and corrective maintenance, monitor utilities and energy usage, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules based on equipment needs, preventive maintenance guidelines, and operational constraints to support the business continuous improvement drive.
- Analyze historical data, equipment performance, and generate maintenance record/report highlighting key metrics such as downtime, uptime, and equipment reliability to optimize maintenance intervals and strategies.
- Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities during planned downtime to minimize disruptions.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders (reservation), inspections, repairs, and replacements of CAP Plc plant and machinery.
- Participate in post-maintenance reviews to assess the effectiveness of maintenance plans and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Create and manage a master maintenance schedule that considers resource availability, equipment criticality, and production schedules.
- Implement robust and efficient maintenance strategies on all CAP Plc equipment at the factory and outstations within agreed budgets.
- Create new assets on the Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP S4 Hana), including the maintenance activities and PM schedules for all assets.
- Support Quality Management System and self-inspection activities in engineering and participate in continuous improvement programs.
- Provide support to breakdown, corrective and preventive maintenance challenges with focus on plants, machinery and utilities equipment for possible resolutions and escalations as required.
- Monitor energy and water consumption trends and generate monthly reports for the department.
- Ensures all CAP Plc equipment is maintained in accordance with the company and local standards and regulatory.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to the company Health, Safety and Environment policies
- Manage the site utilities and energy to ensure efficient operations with reduced energy costs.
- To support and participate in company-wide sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing energy use, paper usage, water consumption, emissions, and other environmental impacts.
Requirements
Minimum degree (BSc or HND) in Engineering (Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Maintenance & Engineering environment.
