Summary
The Business Development Officer is responsible for driving company growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and increasing revenue through client acquisition and retention.
Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Lead Generation
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Research and target potential clients within defined industries.
- Generate qualified leads through outbound and inbound channels.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline.
2. Product Presentation & Sales
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations.
- Understand client needs and align solutions accordingly.
- Prepare proposals, pricing structures, and contracts.
- Negotiate terms and close deals.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
3. Strategic Partnerships
- Identify and establish partnerships with consultants, agencies, and resellers.
- Develop referral and channel partnership programs.
- Maintain and grow partner relationships.
4. Client Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Support renewals and reduce churn.
5. Market Intelligence
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities.
- Provide market feedback to product and marketing teams.
- Recommend strategies to improve market penetration.
6. Reporting & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Track KPIs such as revenue growth, conversion rates, and pipeline value.
