Summary
The Admin/Logistics Officer will be responsible for coordinating all logistic activities, while providing general administrative support. This role requires strong logistical planning skills, the ability to multitask, and a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for travel logistics, including accommodation, transportation, and itinerary planning.
- Company fleet management and administration.
- Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained, schedule regular maintenance appointments, and coordinate repairs.
- Develop new processes or procedures to streamline the delivery process and coordination of all drivers.
- Maintaining a fleet inventory of all vehicles owned by the company, including their make and model, purchase date, current mileage, insurance, registration papers and all government required working documents.
- Maintaining records of fuel usage, mileage, and maintenance history for each vehicle and to reconcile invoices for payment purposes.
- Coordinating with third-party for hiring of vehicles such as Flat beds, Self-loader, Crane, etc. and containers during loadouts.
- Ensure all containers and reefers are cleaned, fumigated, certified and has the right color codes.
- Working with the HR department to schedule employee training on company vehicles or equipment handling.
- Planning and coordinating the movement of materials and products within the organization.
- Conduct routine checks on all vehicles to ensure their functionality.
- To provide assistance on office moves, reallocations and general distribution of logistics general supplies.
- Develop and implementing effective tracking systems to monitor vehicle movement.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects as assigned.
- Handle general administrative tasks as needed.
- Coordinate the purchase and distribution of fuel/diesel products for all vehicle and production and power generating machines.
Requirements
- B.Sc. / HND in related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a large-scale logistics operation as a logistics officer, supervisor, coordinator or team lead.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Good problem solving and analytical skills.
- Good negotiation, leadership and time management skills.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Cost optimization and financial management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
